Lauren Shinn, Owner – Pure Barre Columbia, MO
1. How long have you been in franchising? What location(s) do you currently own?
Nearing 8 years, 1 location.
2. How long have you been a Franchise Ramp client?
On Month 2!
3. What results did you achieve with your location, and what do you think was the biggest contributors to that success?
Trying different approaches to things and adapting sales approaches to the lead and client base. You have to know your audience and be diligent on communication in a trust-building and genuine way.
4. What do you think is a core differentiator that allows you to reach the next level of success in your business?
A very strong sales team & teaching team who is truly dedicated to clients’ success. They are kind, encouraging, and supportive of every lead and member. They sell Pure Barre well by creating an environment that people want to be a part of! The technique speaks for itself. The team is the heartbeat of the studio!
5. Any advice for other franchisees in your industry?
Be flexible and give grace – to your team, clients, and community. You have to be sensitive to everyone’s personal needs/opinions during this trying time. A soft reply, understanding conversation or sympathetic ear can make all the difference to someone. It will pay off in the long run, positioning your business in their mind as an encouraging, positive place they will return to.
